ATL Army Bloggers Weekend Meet - Our View. We had been anxiously awaiting this trip to ATL for months. We had the babysitters lined up from Friday to Sunday. We headed north around 1pm that afternoon and checked into the hotel in Buckhead by 3:30pm. I was tired and wanted to get dressed to go meet everyone, SSS was restless so I sent him out on recon duty. His mission, find the ATL Army suite and get our instructions for boot camp. He had a successful mission and when I finished dressing and putting on my make-up we headed to the party suite, 1507 was the place to be. I walked off the elevator and the laughter and joking coming from that party suite assaulted my ears. Everywhere I looked I saw bloggers. Bloggers, bloggers, everywhere! There are so many bloggers that are on my watched list. Oh look there's, SD, Elbman, Seriously & Imaginary, Curious08..., NSAAddict, Champagnechaser & Shane, Justaseeker and Carressmewell, Mr. & Mrs. Mmmmgoodnova, Gerson is even more GRREAT in person. Frangi is the friendliest Aussie I've ever met, and I felt an immediate bond with her when we talked about our 3 year old daughters. I enjoyed meeting her so very much. There were some bloggers I didn't know but loved meeting, and can’t wait to read their blogs. There was JD, ThePav, Smos, VenusDiaries, Freshmoe, and so many more friendly, sexy faces. For a really good run down of the who’s who in ATL go read NSA’s post [post 459172]. We had drinks in the hospitality suite, mingled, laughed and joked. It was pretty funny; everyone wanted to know how our trip from Colorado was. Hmm, COL isn’t for Colorado, (I Tried to tell SSS that when he picked our handle but…  it’s for Columbus, Ga….lol. SD bequeathed her<b> riding crop </font></b>to me and I really enjoyed spanking all the lovely asses available until I had to put VenusDiaries back in his place for usurping my<b> riding crop </font></b>fun. Down you bad Dom, Down!…lol Before we knew it, time for dinner had arrived, and Elbman threw us all out of the party suite and down to the ballroom.Our table included Ger, who was already hiding from a very tipsy and amorous Irishwoman…poor Ger was so shocked and we managed to lower his purity score by several points over the weekend…lol. Champagnechaser, and I think Newaroundhere were at our table too. Dinner was great and we had several games we played, like Adult Dating zone Blogger Bingo, and Don’t say “Sex, Blog/gers, or Adult Dating zone”, and I was lucky enough to get to draw poker chips from a hat in SD’s lap with my teeth. I really enjoyed my time between that lady’s thighs, her lips pressed to mine to remove the winning poker chip…lol After dinner everyone mingled, moved and generally socialized. Then we moved back to the hospitality suite for some blogging and Twister. Friday night was one of the most amazing interactions with a group I have ever had. I didn’t catch on to any politics or pissed off people, and everyone was so much fun to be around. I never imagined I’d be so comfortable and instantly bonded with so many different people. I played Twister until Ger defeated me, leaving me hot and sweaty. I joined the GA Booby Girls with a Gaelic Hickey on the right boob. WooHoo! Made a cameo appearance on ExPat’s blog. Took lots of great pic’s, and just generally had a blast. I had to retire early, midnight, and we left the party going strong, finished off the party in our suite (pic’s will be posted in a new album shortly) and passed out, content for the night. Why in the world would I leave so early if things were so great you ask? Well the real world has a way of butting in. I had to get up the next morning at 6am to drive to Birmingham, AL to take an exam I need for my teaching certification. These exams are a big deal, they are very expensive to take and hard to find centers offering them. Now I know why, Ga will not be using these tests after next year so most of the testing centers in GA are not offering most tests. I had been studying for weeks and was very nervous. The day started off great, I was up and in B-ham early enough to have time to read my book at the testing center. The testing time flew by and I feel pretty sure that I passed. Then came my treat, I got to go spend a few hours with my new BF. As always, M&M greeted me at the door with a drink in hand and a hot bathtub upstairs…lol. Unfortunately, the tub went to waste that day. We just didn’t have time. So many positions, pieces of furniture, and so little time…lol We had a blast, I actually managed to wear him out that day and we both happily rushed out the door at the same time. I left in a great mood, ready to Party away the night to celebrate my test taking. Once again, reality showed it’s not so lovely ass. Some traffic, a few wrong turns, a couple of drunk and not very nice text messages, and the grand finale, my truck breaks and the great mood went out the window with the metal chunks flying from underneath my Landcruiser. By the time I got back to the hotel, it was after 8pm. Everyone was gone to dinner, and we were stranded with no way to meet them. I was sore and tired, the truck barely made it back to the hotel and it was a very rough ride. So I showered got dressed and we went downstairs to grab a bite to eat. We were so disappointed about not getting to go to dinner and the club but with the prospect of a towing and repair bill well over 1k, I vetoed the cab ride and we stayed in. In retrospect, I wish we had collected phone #’s from several people, because not everyone went to the club and we could have found some folks to hangout with if we had. We’ll know better next time. So for all of you that thought we were MIA Saturday, I am heartily sorry. I wanted to have so much more time to socialize and meet everyone but shit happens and we just make do with what we can. Sunday morning we got a late checkout and joined a small group of bloggers downstairs for lunch and chatting, which we greatly enjoyed. I hated to leave and already can’t wait for the next meet we can go to. I just want to that SD and the entire ATL Army of Bloggers for hosting such a great event. It was an amazing time and I know you all worked so very hard to make it run smoothly. Thanks for inviting us, having such a great group of people and everything you all did to make it an awesome event. We can’t wait for the next one and hope we make the invitee list again. I was so sad that you didn't make it back for Saturday...I wanted to spend more time with you guys!! Don't worry, Grrrr and I looked after Steve at the pool that day, even if my bikinis where still sitting on my bed in Sydney!! Thank you for that hug. It meant way more than you could possible know... Got to go, you have me crying again. Speak soon I hope and keep us posted re: the test results OK! Frangi xx

While you were driving TO B'ham, I was driving from there to ATL! It's a shame that I didn't really get to meet you and spend time with you guys. Everyone was talking about you in a good way if that means something to you and I know it would me. Talk about a GREAT group of people!! Maybe next time  Mac

No volunteers? Damn, what kind of operation were you guys running in ATL? Well, if I hadn't been at Luigi's, I'd have gladly taken him off your hands. He might still have been drunk, but he'd have been ing! (At least for a while, lol.) {=}'s guys!

It was good to see/meet you and Steve. Hopefully both of you can attend a local Army gathering in the near future.

Poor SSS, all alone and drunk in a hotel room. That's just unfair. With nobody to take advantage of him too! That's just sick and wrong! BAD CAR! BAD CAR! Miss you guys! {=} LJ
