Really?? Actually wanted to post about something else but this is still fresh in the memory so here goes. Earlier in the week, I found out that one of the girls in the office posted pictures of herself posing in her underwear on a certain popular website (think fcbk). Naturally, people at work got wind of it and the guys have been talking about it. She's only 22, fresh outta Uni and stuff so...anyways, I'm not really close to her but one of my friends in the office showed me what she posted. It's not exactly raunchy stuff, by any means. Just her modelling her underwear. I thought it wasn't that big of a deal, but you know how office gossip can get. Word got back to her and now she's apparently upset and distraught that some people are treating her differently. First of all, I don't think that it's fair that she's being treated differently, and some people can be a little mean. But, at the same time, I'm thinking she can't have not seen this coming, right? The way I see it is, its the same as wearing a really short skirt, or something really revealing. You know people are going to look, and some people are not going to be very nice about how they react. Come with the territory, doesn't it? |

It's also the reason why most people here won't post a picture that includes their face or anything identifiable. Was it one of the men who found her picture, and if so, why isn't anybody saying something about *him* being on that site? At this point, I see two probable courses of action. It's not exactly raunchy stuff, by any means. Just her modelling her underwear. How is this much different from her posting photo's of swimwear ? I mean unless she is modeling crotchless panties or see-through bra's that expose her nipples - grin. People who have a problem with pictures of mainstream (even little bit risque) underwear have something wrong with their brains. You are open-minded and adventurous, Heidi . . . and you are senior to this woman in both age and work-experience. You don't exactly have to go out on a limb to mention out loud that you think people who pretend to be scandalized ought to grow up. "It's basically beachwear - why are those people behaving so immaturely - like they're still in primary school ?" . . . is the sort of comment you and a couple of similarly minded friends ought to let slip.
