Okay, I have a major pet peeve.. to me at least... Most of you know I chat in here, mainly in the AK room. I have gone around playing tourists though.. love meeting new peeps. And as I am only missing 10 states from living in them all, its like revisiting friends.
My thing is this... I go into rooms to visit, chat with the room, locals.. its 'theirs'.
I do NOT go into it to make a 'fuck date' just because their room may be less crowded.. and ignore the locals... to me I find that totally rude.. this site provides you with IM, flash chat....LOTS of ways to make your fuck date.. WITHOUT disturbing a room. I want to sit and visit with my friends without peeps doing this.. it is just me.. but something I find offensive. TRY FLASH CHAT, EMAIL, IM.. TRY EXCHANGING A PHONE NUMBER.. TAKE ALL OF 2-3 EMAILS....
I think you may miss out on<b> making new friends </font></b>by getting yourself placed on an iggy list this way....

 I hear you on this, but usually get the feeling that both parties are either closet homosexuals or married cheaters, trying not to "out" themselves to people that might be friends/colleagues/spouses. Basically, chicken-shits that want their cake & to eat it too.... People I have no DESIRE to chat with anyways

 I do the visits to other rooms when the mood hits me, but I generally lay low until someone else notices me and starts a chat with me (having an unusual handle sometimes helps). If nothing like that happens for a while, I may interject some attempt at a humorous aside, based on whatever topic I see being already bandied about. I think people have seen a few in the Alaska Chatroom.

To those who believe that being obnoxious is the only way to get noticed, I quietly ruminate that they are just like the punch in that old joke...
