My Morning & Other Random Thoughts........

So i wake up at my usual 3am.
Put the telly on & got to watch an old re- run of a Matlock Police episode.
This used to be one of my favorite Aussie drama/cop shows. Matlock police station was supposed to represent a typical Victorian country town & cop shop. The town used in the series was actually a town in Gippsland Victoria.
I got a fit of the giggles when, 'the bad guy', in this episode, who was in the process of a B & E "Break & Enter" with his elderly co-offender, says, upon hearing the screeching of tires, as our hero cops turn up at the scene of the crime, in the hottest Holden Monaro Coupe that i'd just about give my right arm for....Not sure of the year model but as the show was made in 1970 i'm thinking maybe a HT, HG or HQ either way...Sex on Wheels!
Sorry i digress.......
The young criminal, hears the screeching tires, looks out the window & with fear in his eyes calls out to his old co-offender with urgency, "It's The Fuzz" an expression i hadn't heard in years & have no idea where the term "The Fuzz" instead of police or cops came from.
Anyway the term "The Fuzz" took me back to when i was a & it was considered Soooo naughty & disrespectful to call the police "The Fuzz" even worse was to call them, Cops, Pigs, Grunts or Grunters all common terms here in their day.

It was common place to hear , even adults say,
"I smell Bacon," so all in the vicinity knew there were cops about.
Don't know why cops where called Pigs either....

Any one got a clue for me???

Anyway moving to the next slice of intellectual television viewing served up for me in the early hours of this morning in the form of good old Entertainment Tonight, my favorite show for all the latest Hollywood dramas & gossip.
At last, at last, good god almighty Thank God at last, that poor disturbed woman Anna Nicole has finally been buried.
How disgusting was all the who'haa over that.
I'm so glad she has FINALLY been put to rest beside her Daniel.
Now lets hope his (Daniel's) biological father doesn't win a new court battle to have his/her dug up & moved to be buried back in Texas.
Never in my life have i seen such a ridicules & disrespectful, selfish display from people.

Lets hope that sweet little baby girl finds out who her real Daddy is & is bought up in some kind of sane manner, some time in the near future!
What a pack of Nutters!!!

So after having my fill of riveting television viewing, i get out of bed.
It's cool here this morning, cool enough to make you think Autumn has come in over night.
A strong cool breeze coming in through my windows making the hair on the back of my neck stand up & my skin bristle with rushes of goose bumps. My nipples so stiff if i flicked them they'd damn well snap off......
Ahhhh makes a body feel alive i tell ya.

I jumped into a warm shower, washed my hair & me bits. Got dry & dressed quickly then came online to check my emails, post a couple of jokes & have a wee bit of a chat in the Aussie room.
The early hours of the mornings are the nicest times in the Aussie room.
It's quiet in there, the morning crew are a friendly lot & i like the personalities that are about in the mornings....
]The regular bitches that have pack mentalities aren't there & you don't seem to get swamped by the hard core wankers, & i do mean Wankers, from the males of this world.
It's usually polite or intelligent, tongue in cheek or flirty conversation but nothing over the top, it's an enjoyable time to chat & usually i get a good giggle or two.

After a short time chatting, & feeling 'All Health Conscious' & alive with the fresh cool air coming in the window at me, i'm thinking it's time for a morning walk.....

Ok, Ok so i was out of smokes & had started pulling patches of hair out & out of necessity & vanity, cos i happen to like my hair, i decided i better get off me bum & hoof it to the local shop to placate my nicotine withdrawal & i better do it in a hurry.

I can't remember the last time i walked to my local shops.
Having arthritis in all my joints & usually in a fair amount of pain it is easy to become a hermit & not want to move much, even though movement is the best cure, it's hard to push your self through the pain at times.

Amazing what a craving can do to motivate!

So off i went, it was only 7am so not too many people about therefore i could limp & hobble & take my time not giving a hoot about anyone looking at me.

I really enjoyed the walk.
Went passed my old school which has now closed down due to low numbers.
One of many schools in our nations capitol to have seen the same fate of late.

Most of the schools windows at my old school are boarded up, the grounds looking all over grown & shitty.
I looked in some of the windows i could see in feeling all nostalgic & a little teary.
It's a great old building , still full of so much equipment going to waste.
All that room & it sits abandoned with signs posted up every where saying, "This building & grounds are government property & trespasses will be prosecuted.

I started to think about all the on our streets that run amok, drinking, drugging & just being destructive.
I thought how great it would be if they could turn these old schools into safe places for . Places they could go for help, counseling, a place to get a good meal & maybe even be housed short term until better placements could be made for them.
How other empty schools could be used for respite care for the elderly, sick, or handicapped to give families, & these people themselves, a break from the norm.

The area i live is really aging, most of the young having grown up & moved on but we have a high crime rate, drugs, break & enters & so many of our aged are housed in the surrounding suburbs here.
So many of our youth are angry & roaming the streets with nothing to do & causing trouble. How fantastic it would be if we could pull together as a community, use these large empty buildings as a place for people to go that creates hope.

I don't know maybe i'm just a big old romantic but it all seems a massive waste to me.

I think it would be so wonderful to see our youth connect back with our elderly.
To learn from each other, find hope & respect not to mention what it would do for the morale of the community as a whole.

So now i sit, tapping away on these keys a hot cup of tea at one hand & a smoke burning away at the other thinking & wondering...

What if.....

So now you know....

These kind of thoughts is the shit i think about all the time. The stuff that keeps me awake at night among other nicer stuff, but that's another post altogether!

Hope it was a good flash back !?

Well i'm pleased that's a likable Oooops nearly typed lickable differentce & not an indifference you see.

Sharing Hun,

that is a great quote & right on the money.
Our lives are so cluttered these days that so many kids slip between the cracks or have been ladled & stuck in the too hard basket, as do the elderly, handicapped or mentally ill, i've seen it time & time again.

As a children we had so much resect for our elders.
I think one of the big reasons for this was because, we (kids) weren't kept separate from them & they weren't from us. All generations spent time together, shared, learned, respected, cared for & loved each other.

We need to get that back, the community/village mentality is sorely needed today!

Thanks Hun

Yep Darl

I loved em all when i was a kid even the ones from rival stations.

Matlock, Homicide, Division4 although the spin off from Matlock, Solo One, was a tad sad hahaa

However looking back on these old episodes none of them were great but in their day i guess they were awesome

No you are not alone in thinking one thing after another.
Oh god Hun....I'm wondering if we'll stop nattering to actually breathe while i'm there
