I Survived!!

As i mentioned in my previous entry ToothachesYUK i had an appointment with a dentist at a clinic today.
Despite previous bad experiences with dentists in the past, this turned out to be one of my more better experiences.
Being in so much pain, i didn't have any choice but to go get the damn tooth pulled. I was in misery! I can't stand tooth pain!
When the dentist stuck the needles in my gum to numb the tooth, i wasn't feeling it take effect. This made me think that i was going to feel every painful tug he was going to give it. Needless to say, this was kind of making me nervous.
But when the tugging took place, i actually didn't feel a thing. It must be some new kind of novacaine that you don't feel the numbing effects from. I'm assuming that, but i don't know for sure.
The dentist was an older gentleman, maybe at or close to 70 years old, i assume. He was a real pro and had a real sober personality similar to that of a marine. But the bottom line was that he was good at his skill.
I went to a dental clinic instead of a private dentist's office. Doing this, i saved a ton of money. From other family member's experiences, i would estimate that i saved around 140-150 dollars! The way past dentists have gouged me via my wallet was another reason i made it a regular practice of avoiding dentists too.
This evening as i write this, the swelling in my jaw has gone down considerably but there's still enough there to still notice & feel.
Plus i still haven't worn off the narcotics the emergency room doctor gave me as i'm still pretty tired & groggy.
So in a nutshell, things went better than i anticipated. The painful tooth is gone and i didn't have to go get a bank loan to pay some money grubbing dentist!
Thanks to those of you who showed your concern I just hope i never have another weekend like this for a looooong time....or ever!

I will be so glad when I get my wisdom tooth cut out. The roots have grown to the bone which makes it hard to remove.

Soon I hope.
I need to buy stock in Tylenol

It is a Journey…We all get there differently.
