It was late and I was tired and I rambled on and on...

"Love at the lips was touch
As sweet as I could bear
And once that seemed too much
I lived on air

That crossed me from sweet things
the flow of--was it musk
from hidden grapevine springs
Down hill at dusk?"

-Frost

I just thought I'd give a shout out to some love poetry. Love poetry rocks. A well read romantic poem is like a verbal orgasm.

Anyway, now that I finally caved and bought a thousand points, I'm a silver member. I just need to figure out what to do with it. Apparently getting some local action isn't really an option because my area is devoid of young women. At least young women who would go to this site to meet a man. Maybe things will heat up after I've had it for more than a day.

I'm still bugging bright eyes at work for a date, but it doesn't seem promising. I just found out that she has sundays off and she said she was busy all week. And she never even hinted at giving me her phone number. DAMN I hate having to take hints. SHIT SHIT SHIT.

Count to ten...must learn to handle rejection beter...

Also along that vein I have a wonderful story. I ask a really hot (we're talking centerfold hot) girl out, because she's single. A combination of the two being a rariety in this town. I figure WTF, why not take the chance? She blushes and says sure, next saturday, I've got to go away for the weekend. I spend the rest of the day with a hard on. Next week, when I would see her again, there's a HUGE snowstorm. You know the one. Forgot about her phone #, of course, but with the snow i don't think it would've mattered... So I finally see her again two weeks later after ANOTHER huge snowstorm and say saturday for sure, I'll make it up to you, any way you want. She blushes again and says, I'm sorry, I lied to you, I'm comitted to a man. So I lie and say 'ok, that's fine.' And she turns her beautiful tail. She quits her job the next day and MOVES OUT OF TOWN.

Now to make this clear, she wasn't wearing a ring, I conversed with her and laughed and joked for two weeks and she NEVER pulled a boyfriend mention. Two weeks just to make sure. I never mentioned sex or how boxer straining attractive she was to me. She was the one who inspired me to chat her up by smiling and blushing whenever she looked at me.

How would you feel if a man (or a woman) pulled that on you? Or your best friend?

What do you think of me for my response?

Or her for hers?
