Let's go clubbing

My asked me last night if I would let her go<b> clubbing . </font></b>I said where and with who and she told me the under 16,s place and the names of her friends . She then told me she would be coming back just after 23.00 , on the train and could she spend the night at a friends house !!!
Aah today....they will try anything . She is just under 14 .
Like as if ! Let her sleep over or let her use any kind of public transport at that time of night !
I asked her what was she going to wear and she said her new top and shorts ! Shorts for her is something I probably call a belt !
Bad luck really . Her bad luck that I still remember what I was like when I was her age ! After 23.00 for me those days meant before 08.00 ! We used to go to a taverna for dinner at about 10 at night , then on to the Greek night club where we would drink scotch and dance and smash plates ! Then we would move on for breakfast and coffees before returning just about 8 in the next morning and going straight to bed .I still remember the first time I actually called my mum to say I was going to be coming back very late . I was just a few months older than my today . Mum said to me '' I am not allowing you to stay out all night , to which I replied with the now famous '' I am not asking you , I am just letting you know '' !!!
So I have to go and pick her up to night and give her friends a lift too . Ahh the things us dads have to do for peace and quite !
Do you remember the first time you spend been out all night<b> clubbing </font></b>?

Funny how athens has had the law about everything closing early (before 06.00) for years and there are hundreds of places still stay open as long as there are peeps wanting to stay out.I hear tho,sadly,plates smashing is not allowed anymore due to health and safety regulations!

 oh to be young again....we used to go out in a group of about 20 - a general mix of girls and boys and many a time we all camped out on the livingroom floor - mom's are great and daddies too

Hi ya pinky rabbit.
We don't need to BE young again,it is enough if we just feel it !Moms are great (some mom's) but daddies are BESTEST!!! (some...again!)

 I let my daughter go to the unders and I would drive her and her friends there and pick them back up again. They all apreciated the lift. Of course I would drop them and pick them up round the corner. I loved when they all got in the car and talked about their night excitedly. It was only because I was willing to do the drop off and pick up that any of them were allowed to go. Just a suggestion for you. But you must drop her off where she can't be seen getting out of Daddy's car.

You are spot on Tracy.She want's me to take her shopping but I have to keep a low profile while she goes spending my money
Thinking about it now may be it was my mistake not to let them go last night.Have to have a chat with the friends mother and we see.
