not all of my hunts are as exciting as the few i've shared here. in fact some are pretty funny. like the time Mrs. S called and asked me if i made house calls. she was a sweet ol' lady. her husband had died 16 years ago and she had never updated the decor in the house. it looked like it was straight out of a 1930's movie. she shared the big ol' house with stutters, her cat. she never told me how he got his name. it was late october and Mrs.S's ordeal began. one afternoon she walked into her kitchen to find every cabinet wide open. all ten of them. she'd close them, only to find them wide open the next morning. One afternoon we talked about it over tea. she told me she had prayed and prayed but it hasn't stopped. i had just gotten some new equipment. a video camera that only taped when something moved. So we arranged for her to stay out of the kitchen as much as possible, set it up, and turned the camera on. we let the camera do it's thing in hopes of catching the ghost. we let the camera run 48 hours. Mrs.S shut the cabinets all four times during the two days. and when we saw the video we laughed soooo hard. You see during the summer stutters spent most of his time outside. and now that he was inside most of the time now. he found a new ride to excite him in the house. as Mrs. S took her afternoon nap or as she slept for the night stutters would jump up and grab hold of the cabinet knob and his bottom half would swing forward. and as he swung back the force was just enough to un-snap the door. he and the door would swing open. then one after another he'd swing the doors open and then go on to the next, then after all the doors were open stutters would leave the room. leaving no evidence behind. case solved.

 Oh those clever cats. I have 3 of them here and they amaze me. There's never a dull moment around here I can assure you.
