Love and Synonyms

Love and Synonyms Some recent events have got me thinking about emotions and how people interpret them. So I figured I'd start with the word LOVE and some of it's well known synonyms.  Love - The deep affection, tenderness, and concern felt for a person with whom one has or wishes to have a relationship based on sexual attraction; an intense emotional attachment. Affection - A more unvarying feeling of warm regard for another person. Devotion - Dedication and attachment to a person; contrasted with love, it implies a more selfless and often a more settled feeling. Fondness - In its most common modern sense, a rather strong liking for a person. Infatuation - An extravagant attraction or attachment to a person; usually short in duration and indicative of folly or faulty judgment. These are basically dictionary meanings. What I would like to know is: Do any of these definitions suggest or come close to what type of feeling/emotion you have in your relationship right now? Or you can add one of your own if you wish!  As long as you can live with the decisions you make and there's no harm done.....who cares what other people think? Live your life, no one can live it for you!  |

there are so many differing levels of love : the love you have for parents ; for you siblings ; for you children ; for you friends . But to me to give your life over to another is to be in love . I have been in love twice the first time in my twenties , and now in my 40's . in my current relationship I would say I am at the point if I could reach up and capture a star for everytime he made me smile ; the heavens would be empty as all celestial beings would be in the palms of my grasp . I also like what Sara Bernhardt said on this matter "Your words are my food , your breath my wine , you are everything to me " ...yup that quote of hers kind of sums up where I am Refusing to flirt .....but will tease

I use the term my current obsession....I say in lust with someone, I have feelings for someone, but have only said the 'love' word to two men, not including family members of course. M x
