Lies About Size..

2 months ago, I posted a blog about women who seem to be sick and tired about men telling them they're too big, or fat, or whatever(see my post, Pet Peeve, Chapter 3)-first of all, I don't think it's nice to call others out on their sizes like that-if someone is not your type, just say so and keep it moving. Case in point, I emailed a woman I knew to be a size queen after reading her profile, and, feeling fairly confident about my penis, I sent her a picture of it because she insisted, then she told me it wasn't big enough. I was offended, not because she thought my dick wasn't big enough, but because I felt she probably just wasn't attracted to me, and chose to victimize my innocent penis instead of simply saying I wasn't her type. Now, I'm no Shane Diesel or Lexington Steele, but you'll just have to take my word for it-I'm big enough, period. Notice she said "not big enough"instead of "too small"-hey, men are very sensitive about that!
The penis size is just one thing women complain about, but I'm sure men also lie about their body types-listen mate, having man-boobs does not make you athletic! Men also complain about women lying about their size, but this is a problem that has more to do with every man's interpretation of a woman's size-for example, a man who only prefers skinny women is going to call a woman who listed herself as 'Ample' or 'A Little Extra Padding' a liar, because he considers such a woman 'Large'. Personally, I think it's bullshit, but that may be because my criteria for the sizes are more lenient, as I do have a thing for women with the padding, and, let's face it, you can't mistake 'Large' for anything else.
I came up with a size range for women that I think should be adopted by Hotmatch, and would like everyone to weigh in on it. Of course, if people want to be totally honest about their body size, I think body pictures should be required of everyone. Now, this is not to say that people don't lie about their body size, and one classic way they do it is by posting old photos that show them looking better than they currently do-some people do point out in their profiles that they've gained or lost weight since they posted their photos, and others do it to mislead-those are the liars.
Here is a list of my size suggestions for women, and I'd like to see a woman show me a similar suggestion for men:

Small/Petite - Up to size 6
Average - size 6 up to 10
Ample - size 10 up to 14
A Little Extra Padding - size 14 up to 18
Large - size 18 and above.
Sorry, I don't think any woman over size 14 should consider herself athletic, even if she works out-my opinion only, and feel free to check me on it.

Bear in mind that height may skew a persons size upwards or downwards, for example, a size 12 woman who's 5'9" may look more average than ample, and a size 8 woman who's 5'1 may look more ample than average, so fire away, and let me know how you stand on this issue.

Why do you write that on everyone's blog? Are you just doing it for points?

If you take what is told by news media into account, an 'average' woman is a size 14. I understand men may feel this is big, but in todays society, that is the average size. Even though some people want to differ with me on this, ample is and always has meant large. That is the dictionary definition. I have had to chuckle at the men who piss and moan that woman lie about their size, yet I check out the guy and I'll be damned, mister keg belly is 'athletic'...um, can we say delusional??

Now if A FF used your guide so it was universal, that might make a difference.

templar_s replies on 12/14/2008 8:30 pm:
Only American media would consider a size 14 woman average-in most other societies that would be ample. For A FF's purposes, it's used to differentiate between a buxom woman and a woman that's really, really fat, and I've been a member long enough to recognize the difference. If we do go by the media definition, then it would seem that ample should actually slot between a little extra padding and large, and the confusion continues. Thanks so much for your input, and just so you know, you've got beautiful padding, darling!

I was in a quandry when I filled out my profile as to the body types.....seems as if I chose correctly. LOL That aside, I would NEVER out and out insult a person in regards to any part of their anatomy. Thats just rude and unnecessary.

I have no problem with men who don't get into Queen sized sexy ladies such as myself (LO and much prefer it when they post this on their profile if it is a serious issue of theirs. That way we waste nobody's time with misunderstandings.

I continually post pictures so they remain current and it irks me when people don't. My best friend, for instance, who shall remain anonymous (LO has pics posted of her when we went to Florida together in Feb 2000......

I once met a woman who put 37 in her profile, then when I met her, she confessed and said she was 50. I wasn't sure if that was even true, but she certainly didn't look 37, lol!

I agree with your definition. I picked alittle exrta padding and according to you since I'm 5 10 and wear 14 but must admit they are kinda tight on me

I wish this site had a set definition to this thing, so many people get accused of misrepresenting themsleves.

I am big and have no problem if a guy doesn't find me attractive cause there are plenty who will/do
I also have very current pics up and think that is the best thing for people to do.

That's the attitude! As long as you feel good about yourself and who you are, you're taking the lead, and all others must follow. Thanks for your input.

I realize I'm probably running a little behind but as a woman you know I have to put my 2 cents in! Just want to point out that even though you take into consideration height and size, you also have to factor in fat/muscle ratio. According to your size chart I am just plain fat! However I have a very high muscle percentage therefore even though I wear a larger size I'm solid whereas my sister who wears the same size and is the same height is softer and therefore looks bigger. I love me and my size and am not trying to justify it, just pointing out another factor!!!

templar_s replies on 2/15/2009 10:16 pm:
Your point is very fair, and I did not consider that. However, you still have to be height/weight proportional. Forgive me, because I peeked, but you're 5'4. If you're mostly muscle, there's no extra padding-I would consider you athletic. If you're mostly muscle, and you wear larger than a size 14, I'd be very curious to see what you look like, because there appears to be a contradiction in terms, and I may indeed be the culprit-if I am, I'll admit it here openly, and if not, my theory will continue standing on it's two legs.

i put myself as average on here but i don't agree with your size chart and here is why. i am 5 foot tall and 150 lbs although most men to look at me guess 120 but i never tell anyone that hasn't met me my weight because then most people assume with my height i am ample. i can fit out a 17* 12 inch dog door. no joke. i dare most men to try doing that...lol. i wear size 14 pants but because i need the room for my hips and butt. i have a little waist and if i don't wear hip huggers the pants bag at the waist. if i didn't have boobs...lol i could wear a size 6 shirt but what fun would that be.

i don't think curvy is ample or a little extra padding i think curvy is how woman are supposed to be built. i also think petite is a misnomer because not only can petite be about your width it can also be about your height.

as for 14 and the american media several things have happened especially in this country. obesity is up so the average size of people in this country is up. it isn't the american media's false advertising it just is a fact. and also clothing manufacterer have played with sizes. a size 6 is now made roomier then a size 6 used to be to play to the customers vanity and get them to buy more clothes. so clothing sizes are not an accurate judge of peoples size...

templar_s replies on 3/12/2009 7:51 pm:
Your profile had me drooling, but I did compose myself long enough to respond. The fact that you're 5ft tall, wear size 14, and yet look that compact is quite miraculous. I would consider you average, which you accurately describe yourself as. My belief is that just as size 6 is being made bigger, larger size are likely also a bit smaller than they used to be. A beautiful woman is beautiful no matter what, but I still feel that once you cross over 14, ample or extra padding definitely applies-you just happen to carry yours where it counts the most, lol!

Sorry, gotta disagree on "if you're over size 14 you're not athletic". Perhaps it is the definition of athletic that we disagree on? I did a half ironman triathlon as a size 14-16 or so...granted, I am tall, but that is one of the reasons why using clothing size as a guideline isn't necessarily appropriate.

I do agree that the size categories here are confusing...I used to list myself as 'a little extra padding' in those size 14-15 days, and would get emails saying "where is it?" (yeah, they were probably just flattering me). I think my profile currently says average, which is inaccurate, but then I rationalize that in America, big IS the average - lol. At any rate, I guess people can look at my pics and form their own judgement.

templar_s replies on 11/6/2009 3:47 am:
Before responding to your input, I looked at your pictures again to make sure my opinion accurately reflects what I saw. Based on the pictures, I actually agree with your 'average' description of yourself.

I did mention in the last paragraph that a person's height does impact the look, so if you weigh 200lbs and you're 5'11" for example, another woman that weighs the same but is only 5'2" is going to look much more rotund, and she wouldn't qualify to call herself 'average'.

So you see, it's all relative. You look great at 52, and I'd take a slice of that pie any day!

I carry my extra weight in my curves and my legs. Lots of women who are my height but the same weight look quite fat. Mostly I just get a lot of drooling. I wear size 14. It really does depend on how you carry those extra pounds.

At 5'4, if most of that is in your ass, you're definitely carrying the extra in exactly the right places! Thanks to you and a couple others, this is my first blog here to surpass 500 views and 20 comments. Compared to the blog heavyweights, it's a drop in the pan, but it feels good nonetheless, so I'd like to thank you for helping me reach the milestone.

It's hard for me to either agree or disagree on this, because British people are much less forgiving about weight. Most women here that I know consider themselves above average - or even fat - if they wear a 12 or higher. (About a US 8.)

My own weight and size are likewise hard for me to view objectively. I know that I should lose some weight - while some people can be heavy and healthy, I can't - but I don't know how much. I thought that with my body type and height, I should weigh about 110 lbs. My doctor's opinion is that I should weigh between 135-165, and that was two inches ago. (Yes, I'm still growing taller at my age, and yes, I know that's strange, LOL )

British clothes don't allow for breasts and hips. I've mostly given up on wearing pants at all, unless they have spandex in them. And when I buy dresses, I buy them three sizes larger than I normally wear (I normally wear a 14, about a US 10), and then take them in at the waist.

I usually consider myself a little heavier than average. American men consider me more or less average. White British men usually consider me fat, Black British men less so.

LOL, funny how all the women who replied to this felt the need to give you their stats, isn't it? Now that's what I call male magnetism.

Do not seek an external refuge, but be a light unto yourself.

Yes, as a US size 10, you're average, but European women are more harshly judged, so I totally understand what you're saying. If you've never been to the USA, bring a lot of money when you come, and carry one empty suitcase-I guarantee that you will shop until your arms and legs fall off!

I think a lot of the women who commented on this post put in their sizes because they must feel that I approached the subject objectively, so I consider all the sincere comments a compliment-yours included!

Your comment on this post is a very special one, Stormy, because yours is the 20th. This is my first post ever to have over 500 views and 20 comments, and your lovely words put me there. I need to reward you somehow, and i will think of something. Thanks so much!!

i think your classifications are too narrow based on clothing sizes... i have seen perfectly proportioned size 14 women who are hot as hell...i have seen size 6 women who were fat for their frame.

too generalized...height and build are part of the equation..

templar_s replies on 12/27/2009 10:10 am:
I actually did mention in the blog that height and build do affect the equation. As it always is with nature, there are exceptions to every rule, and sizes are no exception. I've also been with very gorgeous size 14 women, and size 6 women who were beautiful, but only on the outside. It's all relative, I guess. Thanks for your comment.
