I'm anxious to see what Friday's check will be with the 16 hrs on it. I will definitely adjust my OT work if the taxes get more than half of it.

 Can your "withholding" for taxes not be increased so you don't have to pay at the end of the year? Prior to receiving my Canada Pension, my refund was almost always between $10. and $100.

I'm already withholding the maximum and have contemplated having payroll taking a little extra to offset any taxes I may have to pay at the next year for this year.

My brother mentioned something about not having so much taken out with each paycheck so that the OT earnings would be more. I will get a better idea of how much is going to be coming out with the paycheck that comes on this Friday as to how much OT I can work before more goes back to the government than in my pocket.
