EMPTY I guess I just need to "whine" a little this morning and get it out of my system. I'm tired. Really tired...bone weary tired. And the one morning I really need my house to myself so I can start baking the wedding cake........is the one morning they decide not to go anywhere. I have three tall lanky people lounging all over the living room and kitchen....crunching their granola....talking about bring their grandbaby back here to my house to play.....and watching the 700 Club on TV! DAMN!!!!! (and if you know me....you know that I don't swear often!) OKAY! I just re-read this and made myself laugh at myself! So...thanks for letting me "whine"....and now I'll serve the cheese!  |

Some one is getting married, and you have to bake the cake???? You should be whining alot more.

I feel for you sweetness, My stepdaughter is due here in just a couple of hours. Dnt know for how long either but figure atleast til Sunday evening. Now you go put your feet up and "delegate" some of thay baking to the "subordinates" for a change. Remember sweety, you "been sick: and need all the rest you can get. Sending ya "angel blessings to help speed you thru your day" and girlfriend huggies, the ones that don't go below the belt *giggles* Now, I'll be reserving an R & R for you at Cozy Cove General if'n you don't behave and get some much needed rest, and let the "nut chompers" fend for themselves.

Baking a wedding cake while serving cheese with the whine... Ya sure all this multi-tasking is what ya ought to be up to?! We may have to give you a 'timeout' if you don't start behaving yourself... H,

I'm getting scared. i have guest coming next week. two small kids and parents that don't believe in discipline. wish my parents believed as such. Cheers!...can't wait to catch up on all your post. miss you sweet heart!~

Angel, Great idea here that will make those visits more pleasant. Take the opportunity to introduce them to Adult Dating zone! They'll be hooked, and you'll have something in common to talk about. Angel, listen very closely and trust me on this one. Don't make them comfortable or they won't leave. Sneak out and cut the cable, no 700 club, no granola bars, sorry we are all out, furniture real close no place for lanky legs, then call the bakery tell them special wedding cake, tell hubby go get cake and then fix the cable, get out a granola bar, turn on some lifetime and enjoy the peace and tranquility. It works everytime, when I get audited at work I kill the air turn on the heat and they say, I am all finished and run out of the building. Rest and relax, you NEED it.

Angel, You have guests, but do not really feel up to having any today. You could do as normalornaught suggested. But, I know that you wouldn't like to do that. You are a nice person, possibly too nice. That is not a criticism. Would you like yourself if you were not nice to other people? Maybe, maybe not. I do not know you that well, yet. And please do not tell me anything that then gets me banned. You are such a good friend to so many people. You could always pretend to be in a "bad mood". Just a suggestion. I saw your title earlier, but just now realized what the title of this post. You may feel empty right now, but you are far from that. And it is okay to whine once in a while. I was afraid this wasn't going to go as you hoped it would. Have them get the child, go get some KFC (I don't care if they're organic or not... let them pretend) go to the park, and enjoy the day... as a "family." Don't serve the cheese! Hope it all worked out OK. Will you post a picture of the cake? Pretty please! Even the best house guest put a strain on things because normal patterns are messed up. (sort of a reply to your last post) I know the feeling of wanting the house to myself. I prefer it that way when I have major cleaning and laundry, etc to do. Can crank the music and really rock and roll. Get very efficent. SR
