What Should I Do?????
What Should I Do????? With the rising cost of gas, i am being forced to consider changing jobs. The job i have now, i have health insurance and make a little over $10.00 an hour, but i have to drive so far everyday to get to work and home, and i have to work from 3pm to 11pm, and right now they are so slow on their business, that they have had to lay several people off for the time being. I have almost 10 years of service in with this company, and get 2 weeks of vacation time per year until my 10th year then it goes up to 3 weeks. If i get a job closer to home, it could possibly be a morning job, but not have any health insurance, vacation time, or make the same amount of money i make at the factory. Even tho i would save some money on gas, would it really be worth the fact that i wouldn't have any insurance for when i have to go to the doctor or hospital and then get medications?? I am really confused about what to do. Also coming into play is the fact that jobs are getting harder and harder to find now days. I could possibly get a job at a home health place, but would have to pay for my own gas to and from there, but i could more than likely work my own hours, as many hours a day as i like. I am no stranger to working in the medical field, as i used to be a Certified Nurses Aid. I used to love that job, but it got to be too much for me because i didn't treat all my patients as cold as some did. I always tried to treat each one as tho they were a member of my own family, which in my opinion, is how every one of them should have been treated. It don't always work out that way tho, and most people get treated poorly. I have been pondering what to do about the whole situation, and am no closer to an answer. We own our trailer, but don't have the thousand or so dollars it would take to move it closer to my job, and paying rent in the city, well, that is another cost i really can't afford. Yes, i would save money on gas, and keep my insurance, but, would i save enough no gas to pay rent? I really don't have an answer to that, and it really is driving me crazy. Anyone with some suggestions?? |
