Light 'Er Up

Today, Bib and I are going to go ahead and put our lights and stuff up outside. We found out that our nephew that is in the Army, is going to actually make it home for Christmas. He didn't get to come home last Christmas, and in a few months, he will be deploying overseas for a year so he won't be home for Christmas next year either. He told his commanding officer's this, and they worked it out to where he will be able to come home this year. He is excited, and so are we.

Bubba is used to seeing our house lit up every Christmas, so, we decided that even though it's late in the season to be decorating, we wanted to do this for him, so he can take the memories with him, and have nice memories to think about while he is gone. It is supposed to start raining here afterwhile, and turn out very cold, and the wind has been gusting up pretty high at times already today, but, we are going to do this for him. I don't care if i get frostbite or whatever, the lights WILL go up and on for him.

I guess with all the economy problems and stuff that everyone has been going through, this year, not as many people have decorated the outsides of their homes. I can honestly say, that for some reason, this year, i lost my will to do it also. That was until we found out that Bubba was coming home.

To all the families and relatives that have family members deployed away from home, we will have all of you in our prayers.

May you all have a safe, happy, healthy, and fun Holiday Season.
