On a serious note...

On a serious note... Like I posted the other day...lots on my mind. Things seem to come in threes in my life. Deaths always come in threes...bad things usually do. And it seems like the dreaded threes have hit again. My great aunt (she kinda raised me on occasion, and calls me her when it is convenient) let me know a couple of months ago that they had found a lump in her breast. Did surgery, took lymph nodes...thought it was all good. Now they aren't so sure... So she is now going to undergo Chemo. She is in fairly good spirits. A very good friend (former lover) that I am very close to even though we've only seen each other once in the last 8 months...had throat cancer. Went through treatment....looked good! It is back. With a vengeance....and spreading. And this hurts me, because I love him. He is my friend... And last night...I found out my niece, who is one month older than my oldest, at age 21 is going to have a radical hysterectomy next month due to now having stage 2 cervical cancer. Now the upside, if there is one, is that she has a who will be 5 this year and a who just turned 1. So those are a few things on my mind....  |
