Why are we so mean?

Why are we so mean? I see over and over on this site people that post very negative responses to others, sometimes even resorting to belittling and name calling. I thought that part of the beauty of this site was to mingle and mix with ADULTS, free of harsh judgement. We are supposed to be able to be open and honest, and write what we want. Just beacuse one person thinks that a topic or postingis stupid, does not mean that it is stupid to others. Maybe the person that posted it isn't at the same level you are, and is really serious. How will they learn anything if we put them down? Then they will quit asking and just stay ignorant. Just because someone else posts something doesn't mean that you have to respond or even read it. Does it really ruin your day so much that you have to ruin theirs?Can't we just play well together and move on? I was always told if you don't have something nice to say, don't say it at all. Do you really think that they posted their stuff just to irritate you, because you in effect are posting your rude response just to irritate them. If it's not an email directed to you, why take such offense? Why be so judgemental? Wanna join a hot group? This one rocks if you like hot sex, dirty talk, n lots of fun!Elizabeth's Private Hot Tub |

What you mean "we" when you refer to mean? However, I know what you mean, I see a lot of it. I guess we gotta face it, there are a lot of petty immature people, pretty much of all ages, almost anywhere you go. Including here. Sigh. Actually, I have been pretty lucky in the sense that I think I have only gotten one rather upset post on my blogs (many disagreements, but except for one, thoughtful, mature disagreement), and in fact I don't think I have gotten any disrespectful responses on other people's blogs, even when discussing fairly controversial and emotional topics. I have seen lots of flaming rants, but careful choice of non-emotional words seems to help. 'Course I try not to dictate opinions to others, preferring to ask questions, get them to clarify their thoughts and point out places where "someone" might disagree.

Funny you should say this. I left a group just the other day because I went in it Tuesday night only to field smart ass comments. Funny because I called A F F on this group's behalf to try to help it with its Adult Dating zone problems & even did a network bulletin to ask the 390+ members in my network(most of who never heard of its moderator) to join this group. Rest assured-I learned from my mistake. I can be found wearing  in The Valley Of Royal , Daddy's Girls! (AGE Friendly) , The Sex Palace , JEWELS STRIP CLUB , and Jockey's Riding Club .
