How to recapture the inititial life style " high " ?

Talking to a few life style friends and it seems to be sadly inevitable that we become somewhat desensitized to what initially just blew our minds and bodies away !! Is there any way to set the clock back ???

It shouldn't take a near death experience to make you really smell the roses. It's really being open to making the most of this moment, in all it's subtle and craetive ways, as humble and banal as that may sound. Risk and sensitivity can become an escalating game of chase and elusion/illusion.

Maybe it's about being more selective, and maintaining an element of uncertainty, chance, mercurial changes.

I suspect that breaking boundaries initially had it's own sense of exhilaration based on tasting that forbidden fruit, entitling oneself to illicit access, indulging in excess. The most sensational experiences require some element of risk. It's how you manage that and surpass the feeling of jadedness, so each moment is as real and original as can be. I suggest it's the lens you use to see and feel afresh, not the scenario you dismiss.
