Day 2

There is a challenge that has been going on but I decided to modify it to better fit me. What I will be doing for at least the next 60 days is to have some random act of kindness to others. It can be to a perfect stranger or to someone I know.

Today, I met some friends and rode down to the Lonestar Rally in Galveston. It took FOREVER to get there! I left the house at 9am and didn't get down to the Strand until close to 3pm. Now this wasn't because of traffic or anything like that. It was because of all the stops we made. We got to Galveston shortly before 1pm and decided to eat. That took the longest time. And of course we bumped into people we knew so it took longer.

After eating lunch, I picked up a passenger and off to the Strand we went. I know it sound nutty but my random act of kindness to others today was at every possible opportunity, I gave the right away to someone else. I motioned others in front of me and smiled as much as possible. Have you ever just watched the expressions on people's faces when in large crowds? There are far too many people with sneers on their faces. By simply being courteous, you might be surprised at the number of smiles and thank yous that you receive.

In all, it was a great day. I wish I had more time to spend at the rally but the sun went down and it was time to head home before the crazy people really let loose.

It was a good movie but a terrible ending when the boy dies. my wife cried at the end and won't watch movies like that anymore. I'm stuck figuring out what I'm going to do today. All I have planned is doing laundry and watching football.
