Sneaky Little Ones

Well it's official, my little man is a total sneak. I am sure I probably did sneak around looking for presents but I just don't remember anymore. Normally we have presents wrapped and surrounding the tree by this time. Right now, we do'nt have the first present under the tree. So our little man is getting worried that this Christmas will be a terrible one. In fact, he starting to get upset thinking about it. Last night after our Anniversary Dinner, we went Christmas shopping. When we got home, we had some bags on the table but of food only for a party we are having tonight. The little man decided to help himself and READ the blasted Receipt! Well that is at least ONE blown gift from Santa!

We've done the same thing. Right now he still believes. I think he has some questions but he's not asking so far. As long as he wants to believe, I'm letting him. Keeps more fun in it.

I used to have to buy a special roll of Christmas paper and hide it as it was to wrap the gifts from Santa. I also got a friend to write on the gift cards as they would have recognized my writing. I tried to change my writing style, but wasn't very good at it.
As they got a bit older and still believed, they used to keep the gift cards and compare the writing from the previous year.

We have customarily wrapped most of the gifts and they are all around the tree. The ones that Santa brings are all unwrapped and placed in the middle of the room and next to the other packages. It's the first gifts he sees when he comes down the stairs.

We have everything hidden at the next door neighbors house. As we learned last night, get rid of the receipts too. Isn't it fun when they still believe?
