 Folks nowadays are all about impressions who's got the most, who's the most successful, and how do they profit from giving you their time.
Its been bred in they can't help it, You may even do it yourself without even thinking about it, when you come across someone who doesn't seem to care what you think of them, will talk to you without paying you much attention, but keeps on doing what they were doing.
All you need do is say something softly to see if they are paying you attention, if they are you'll see a reaction, You've just met some-one who likes you but doesn't feel the need to impress you.
That's the foundation of a friendship with a real person.
