Firing up the grill on a sunny day. Such a simple thing but truly a serene moment for me. Work is the last thing on my mind, grass is already cut, errands already ran & now I can kick back & toss my meat around with a cold 1 in hand 😁

The other day, I was about to hit a good sized hill in the woods on my mountain bike, then suddenly a fox walked up to the side of the trail. The fox stopped and looked at me. I stopped and straddled my bike - waiting for the fox to make its move. We had a moment of just quietly looking at one another - not a sound, just observing. The fox slowly went about its way, and I slowly climbed the hill - all the way smiling.

Riffing on both the homonym as well as a pretty sketchy tangent . . . this joke attracted the comment: "If you can't tell the difference between Scottish and Welsh, you deserve a battering." With that as preamble . . .

*****

I was waiting on my pint at the bar the other night and couldn't help overhearing the three hefty women talking at the table just behind me.

I'm not so good with accents but they didn't sound to be from anywhere nearby in London. Wanting to be friendly as I waited patiently for the busy barman to pull my pint, I turned to the ladies and asked - friendly, like, "Are you lassies from Scotland?"

One of them angrily screeched, "It's Wales! Wales you bloody idiot!"

So I apologized and replied, "I am so sorry. Are you whales from Scotland?"

And that's the last thing I remember . . .

*****

Great story about your bike-ride encounter with a real-deal whale, Jules. No-one could fault you for wanting to share that experience, widely.

The nice weather, epically after the lousy winter we had, makes me smile.

Talking to or working with my son is the one thing that puts a smile on my face.
Working with the wife runs a close 2nd followed by some friends.
Glad you finished the run of funerals. I just was at a visitation today. Luckily not multiple ones lately

Whale's are awesome!

What lights me up? A woman that lights up. (really). I like seeing women doing happy dances and giddy as (fill in the blank)...

Yesterday, I felt happy and smiling because I FINALLY went out for brunch on the water with a new group of people who turned out to be mostly my tribe! Feeling less alone in the world is incredible and having events to look forward to make such a difference in my mood.

Also, I'm visiting the TWA hotel in two weeks... gonna be living a MadMen-esqe life for 24-36 hours!

Has anything lit you up like that recently?
What makes you happy and puts a smile on YOUR face?

It's been almost a year since this happened to me, but one day, during my walk in the park, I noticed this lady walking and looking over her should. She was a bit afraid and I was worried that maybe she came across a snake. I decided to check on her and I was correct, an animal was chasing her. It wasn't a snake or reptile, but a bird. For some reason, there was a woodpecker that was following her. Suddenly, Woody started following me, instead of her, so she can get back to her car and leave the park.

Woody kept hopping and flying to stay with me. I would take 20 steps and stop, and Woody would then fly and land in front of me. I walked past him and he would fly and catch up. During my walk, I had found a little stick and wanted to use it for Woody to climb on. Well, A small bluejay started chirping at me for some reason and decided to land on the stick that was in my hand. What are the odds that these two birds wanted to hang out with me??? In the end, bluejay flew away and I took Woody home before taking him to a wildlife rescue because it was bizarre for a woodpecker to be behaving like this, so either something was wrong or was a pet that was released by their owner.

What makes me happy? Besides being with a stunning woman, it has to be being with nature and seeing animals. This park next to my home has been therapuetic. I have seen different types of trees (gardenias and magnolias are blooming now) and different types of birds (cranes, storks, Ospreys, Roseate Spoonbills), squirrels, rabbits, a few snakes, and alligators. So I have had a few of your whale examples with alligators in the water. Now before you freak out, alligators are in the water, not walking beside me. Also, they are afraid of us more than we are of them. 2 weeks ago, I saw one sunbathing from a distance and the gator went into the water the moment it noticed me.

Now that it's beach season, I look forward to going to the beach and see the pelicans and fishes in the water and just maybe some dolphins swimming about in the water.

Stay strong and positive hermosa

What makes me happy? Being outdoors and playing sports is a big one for me. Even going to a stadium and watching a game live makes me pretty happy (can't wait for that to happen again). Laying on the beach watching the ocean is my happy place also. But spending time with a special someone is prob what makes me the happiest. Now combine spending time with my special someone and playing sports at the same time and you will see that big cheesy smile on my face.

Hi! I enjoy hiking outdoors and seeing eagles and orca whales, and as you’ve probably seen on my blog, getting naked in nature. 😎

Funny women are incredibly sexy!

Jules,
Fantastic story. I would have been the same. As an animal lover I always get excited seeing them in their natural habitat. I just drove from California to Calgary and saw quite a few different animals. Sadly the one I have always kept an eye out for but still haven't seen everytime I see the caution sign is the Big Horn Sheep. At least I got to see antelope when I drove the the Montana portion of the drive. Too many other animal stories to tell lol. But yes nature is probably one of the biggest things that lights up my life beside family and friends.

A smile, driving fast through the mountains. I don't get enough of it. I focus, I tune into the car and engine, and enjoy.

The only thing that compares is when she wakes me up or walks up to me some days and says "Hey wanna cum in my pussy?" That will wake up the Dom Bull inside me and spur me on to fuck her brains out.

What an amazing sight whales breaching makes. And how exciting to see it out on your daily cycle ride. Sounds fabulous McJ!

Sorry you've had such a tough spell of things, I hope you've turned a wee corner there. And I hope you're well otherwise........

My Hero!

I love that you took on Woody for a damsel in distress. Honestly, what are the odds that a blue jay would land on the stick you were holding? Crazy.

Who says alligators are afraid of us? Turn on a utube and gators are chasing stupid people all the time.

Things are happily turning a corner here... fingers crossed it stays turned.

Enjoy your wildlife and and beautiful landscapes.

oxoxo

Thank you hermosa
Maybe one day I can show the video (Yes, caught that moment on my phone)

Keep them fingers crossed and those vibes positive
