Procrastination

Procrastination I want to stop procrastinating. I will have to get around to doing that someday... Usually I wait on a legal task that has me conflicted and annoyed. I try to let that energize me to do other things that are also difficult and annoying. Yesterday I finally tackled the task I had been shirking for a few months, and finished it is a few hours. Nice to know I can still do something I was dreading... Most of the problem is fear and worry that evaporates when you actually do the task... Courage is a manly virtue and essential to function as a true professional. Fortunately I have learned how to trick myself into doing the right thing occasionally. As Winston Churchill said about Americans: "You can always count on them to do the right thing, after they exhaust every other possibility..." |

Sometimes the thing avoided is a good thing to avoid... I don't feel so bad not working on the problem project when it turns out to be not needed...
