"The Crown"

Been watching the emmy nominated series about Queen Elisabeth II on Netflix. Well acted and historical. Most of the controversies are not high on American radar as the palace intrigue of the thirties to fifties in England were not important to us.

Sadly Churchill tried to hold onto power after his body and mind were not the best. Of course Ronald Reagan, Eisenhower and Trump all did the same. Powerful egos have the illusion that all good things need the great man to guide the nation. No one is irreplaceable.

History is educational, but we do not seem to learn from our mistakes.
