Your responses were perfectly reasonable. If you didn't instigate this conversation (say by writing on your blog, hey, I want people to message me about anal sex) then he was initially wasting his time already. I think assholes like that just need to be put in their place sometimes, and you did it, nicely and thoroughly. I don't admire people who are stupid and initiate these exchanges and then get all insulted. Whatever. BTW I would have been the same way. I think you were perfectly polite -- more polite than he deserved. As for whether his anger was at you or the general idea that he's not getting laid, I think it's the latter. I wouldn't be surprised if women who ignore him right from the start get a string of hate mail too.

Wow... I thought the strange ones were all in Texas. Was the man in question Asian by any chance? He sounds like just about every Middle Eastern man on a sex site. Why won't women have sex with me? I have an advanced degree! Kama Sutra or no, nothing makes up for an inherent lack of substance or attraction. They never get over that.
