Red Flags in a profile, part 2

2 more little red numbers, 3 and 4

3. Is basically just showing how i saved the picture to my desktop. I use firefox so its easy to just drag and drop the photo over to the desk top.

4. Member comments. These are people that have blindly thrown themselves at the chance that this is actually the person behind the keyboard/phone of the profile owner. These people have hope, they either believe the system works or they're too ignorant to believe in the malice of an anonymous user base that operates in an environment without any repercussions for their actions. (This applies to the entire internet by the way)

I may come off harsh when talking about this people, but they're either going to learn the hard way, or hopefully someone directs them to this series of posts and they learn from me. Trust me the amount of time you spend reading this, will save you countless hours of back and forth with someone that has no real intention of meeting you, or even talking on the phone, let alone showing you a picture/cam. Not to mention the possibility of even something worse happening then just losing some time.

Identity theft, blackmail, the possibilities are endless when it comes to the motives of the basement virgin. Thankfully most of them involve just cranking the wank, but like I said before we're in an anonymous environment where you cant see the other person, or they're thousands of miles away. You wont have to meet them face to face ever, it could be justified off as a victimless crime, but its not. It can always snowball further.

I've heard horror stories of girls that let a little to much information slip in chat rooms and guys show up at their work, or a picture with too much context in the background can tell you where they live. Also using pictures from your facebook account on your Adult Dating zone account, will get flagged if you google image search them. So if your profile isnt set to private on facebook now they have all sorts of info on you, they know who your friends are.

And you see how this can spiral horribly out of your control.

Chatting/email/texts/instant messages, everything you share you're sharing with someone else, trust is important, also is covering your own ass.

So I guess this post turned into a little more of a PSA into internet privacy and the terrible outcome of sharing too much info. But its something that needed to be addressed. Be careful out there, you never know whom you're talking to. It may be a hot girl, it might be a basement virgin, it could be an identity thief, just watch your ass. We all have dirty little secrets, and this place highlights those, and just because you're at home alone, whom your share them with could easily end up getting your dirty laundry, or crazy ass foot fetish told to the world.

anyways.. onto part 3.. if i havent just scared you into deleting all your photos and shutting down your account.

Ok let me say this again.

I was not saying that comments in profiles are a sign of a fake.

What I was saying is that a comment on a fake profile leds credibility to the profile. It takes 3 seconds to do a google image search on a profile. Instead of just vomiting out OMG U LOOK SO HAWT, take 3 seconds search the photo, if its a fake you move on, if its not feel free to post all you want.

Thats all I was saying about comments on profile.
