Nagoya heaven

After one month in Nagoya, I have discovered so many things are wonderful here. I'm sure over the course of this stay, I will find many things that aren't so pleasant. Let's not dwell on the negative. Let's keep it all positive.

Of course the first topic has to be…

The girls.
Oh my god! Is this where Japan has been hiding all the young, cute and sexy girls? Seriously, OMG!! I fall in love at least twice a day. They are stylish but not to the point where you'd think they are high maintenance. They are young. And I mean early to mid 20s young. And there are a lot of them. Walking around Meieki (Nagoya Station East area) is like walking through the Tokyo Girls fashion show. I can't stand it. I'm gotta get me one of them.

The food.
Well, this is still Japan, so the food is what you expect. High quality and delicious. The prices are slightly cheaper than Tokyo. Of course there are still the high end places that charge a fortune, but there are a greater number of reasonably priced places. And they are often packed with young, good looking girls. Oh yes, back to the girls.
Anyway, back to the food. Miso is on everything. Miso Katsu, Miso salad dressing. Miso, miso, miso. It does get a bit too much very quickly.

The sightseeing.
This is most likely because I'm new here, but just walking around is interesting. So many mom & pop shops selling everything. It's so interesting just walking. I found a church, St. George, sandwiched between two eateries. Seemed so out of place until I realized the church was most likely there first. Inside it is of the Victorian era. Couldn't see an established date anywhere. Will have to go back and do a little more investigation. I'm not religious at all. But the architecture is appealing.

More from Nagoya soon.
Happy hunting.
