It does truly 'suck' however, the airlines are still packing people in across the U.S. and people travel without masks, so not traveling unless you are going by car is the safest way to go. I had a friend who moved her sister and drove two days sleeping in camp grounds in her car to get there and back...

oh im so sorry to hear that Joy, but it's the same for me. being on leave for almost 3 months now, I'm stuck here as I couldn't go anywhere. and if I'm able to go back home then I won't be able to come back for my job till I don't know when. really shit. so totally no travel plan at all maybe until next year. and I heard there might be a second wave?? I really hope not. stay safe Joy, for you and your families. and be strong and be patient.

I feel your pain. My circumstances are different in that I was able to travel back in November to the Philippines where my ex has family. The unfortunate side effect of that trip was that I become very ill before coming back home. I spent the next month after my return sick as a dog thinking I had a very bad flu. It took a full 3 months before I felt 100% better and then the lockdown happened here in California. Adding to it all was the fact that my ex brother in law came to visit us by late November to settle some personal accounts here in the states. He was delayed with that and yes by the time he was ready to go the Philippines locked down and he has been with us for almost 7 months now. It has not been easy since this was supposed to be temporary and privacy has become nil with him around. He has tried twice to get flights when they were supposed to available but each time has had them cancelled by the airlines. That last such cancellation was the 20th of this month. It’s been hard but what can you do, right? Trying to travel to another country carries its own set of problems right now. But I hope you do get see your family soon. That’s just rough. I so want to visit home which is a 6 hour drive I can easily do. But, I am medical, so I still cannot risk it. Maybe soon I hope.

You are looking at cross country travel when I have just cancelled my travel plans within BC. This is the third trip I have cancelled this year the first was an overseas trip the second was inter-provincial and now one with in the province. I am thinking if everyone stayed put as much as they can and wear masks when ever indoors in public we might have a hope of moving around safely in the near future. I am very afraid that all of the money and personal sacrifice we have thrown at this thing will be wasted because we can't stay home for a little longer. I will do my part and I hoe others do theirs. There you go That's all and none of it tragic.

At the end of the day we all need to make the right decision to keep our loved ones healthy and safe. As we have seen in the US already, the easing of restrictions have been seen as all is ok, now look at the resurgence, thankfully we are keeping our borders with the US closed for now. BC was earlier on to the curve than Ontario so we are a bit behind on the timeline, looks like we are all going to stay close to home this summer and yes, if you want to play around, we now have another test to take before we play. Be safe, stay in touch with loved ones in other ways for now.

Hi Joy this post was sad today, as you did not take me further but, that's ok I hate this pandemic but, we must be cautious So, has COVID 19 affected your own travel plans? Yes, it has, not that I had any plans, however, just the thought of restrictions bothers me. I've been to over 35 countries in my life, and love to travel. If it has like it does mine. Why would you even consider fucking someone you do not know, when you can not travel see your loved ones or kids, in your own country????????????????? because, a) it could be one of my "Sliding top 30, and how could I pass that up (are you kidding me); b) they have full body condoms for both sexes, never tried them, but, I would be game; c) you know you could apply the "one in a milliion" rule to this and, make the best of it (safely) I wear a mask everywhere these days. I got tested for covid19 antibodies, and came out negative, so, there's that too. anyway, be strong it will get better The xx - "Islands" I don't have to leave anymore What I have is right here Spend my nights and days before Searching the world for what's right here Underneath and unexplored Islands and cities I have looked Here I saw Something I couldn't over look I am yours now So now I don't ever have to leave I've been found out So now I'll never explore See what I've done That bridge is on fire Going back to where I've been I'm froze by desire No need to leave To leave private messages, please use my confidential mailbox at my blog: Good luck!!!

My travel plans have changed because of it. I do know Hawaii does have a 14 day quarantine. We can quarantine together

You have my empathy with the situation, I thought from the start that this virus is going to around for a long time, people over here have not been taking things seriously, there have even been some raves held, went out to the city the other day as non essential shops have been allowed to open, crowds of teens hanging around in groups people in shops barging their way to the shelves I don't actually think I would want to risk public transport and now they are on about opening pubs! heaven help us!

I am an Ontario gal too!  . Sorry to hear you are unable to get to family to see them. Canada is so vast that we pretty much have to rely on air travel to see families and friends in other provinces, but yeah - I have heard the same about 14 day quarantines. I have mostly been talking to friends who want to go to the maritimes and Newfoundland to see family and it seems like there are just too many hoops to jump through right now. Like you say, what you would want to be a 1 week visit could end up being a 5 week stint with the self quarantines on both ends. No travel for me for a while which is killing me too as I would love to see everyone and I simply love to travel too!I am a celebration of willful chaos and a hugger.

That Covid-19 has fucked up a lot of people and a lot of plans. Down south in the US our President I think is going to be the cause of more cases with the way he wants to get people together for his rallies. (But he does not believe he ever needs to wear a mask either. Safer to not play at this time I am sorry that you cannot get with family hope face time can help a little

Our major highway into the state has a flashing sign: If you come to Maine you must self-quarantine fro 14 days. Who is going to police that??? Even many of our own people are not wearing masks- the asshats My sister's rental at the beach cancelled all their in-bound reservation so she will not be coming this summer ( and I am glad for that for many reasons). I really believe a second wave will arrive due to all the protests and folks not practicing the guidelines. All each of us can do is self-protect as much as possible. Joy our dear friend, so feeling for you during this crazy COVID19 pandemic that continues to plauge all of us and unfortunately shows no true sign of letting up soon  We all understand what we must try and do to keep each and everyone of us safe, but, we also all are very human and have needs and desires We all need to feel loved and wanted and hugging and kissing and sex is all part of that, but, even more important, is truly what we all are missing dearly, our families and we send our love to you Joy during we know is a most difficult time when this crazy COVID19 continues to wreak havoc and we can only pray that sooner than later, that all this madness shall pass and we all can get back to some sort of normal whatever that means now.
