So reading through profiles (yes, we ALL shop here), I come across folks looking for Fuck buddies, friends with benefits and long-term relationships. So what is the difference? This boggles me.

Fuck buddies is pretty self-explanatory; a mutual booty call. There are few expectations, and other than<b> safe sex </font></b>practices, no assumption of fidelity.

Where I find things getting dicey is the difference between FWB and LTR. We are, to some degree, emotionally attached to our friends and in the case where friendship has a sexual side, we are even more intimate. One would hope that friendships are not ephemeral, so where is the delineation between FWB and LTR?

The only difference I can see is that the couple might up and move away together. Unless I'm horribly mistaken, and all the sappy romance movies I watch are totally Hollywood, most long and strong relationships begin as friendships. I don't even think monogamy is a component of a long-term situation; there are plenty of folks here who have a free pass to explore outside of the house.

At least we have a pretty good idea of sexual appetites and fantasies here.....
