is it appropriate to ..... Being that Adult Dating zone has made it so difficult for Gold members and standard members to contact each other.....do you think it's appropriate for me to 'quote' a standard member who has commented on someone's blog post and ask them to contact me via my 'for your eyes only' blog? I don't know if sending the standard member a message along with a friend invite does any good....are they able to read that message? Or do I have to be their 'top fan' for them to be able to read a message from me? I am new to blogging and don't want to do anything inappropriate. Thanks! Of course I think it's appropriate. You might find the odd blogger here and there who'd object, but i wouldn't let that stop me. Everyone here is aware of the rigorous restrictions on messaging privileges so I think any polite way of saying "Call me!" is perfectly all right. You're welcome to do that in my own blog any time...of course, you'd actually have to visit my blog to do that....so there's that one drawback... Become a member now and get a free tote bag.

I see no problem in quoting and asking for contact via a quote. To get messages via the “message center” (email here) you have to be a fan. When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro. The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

Nothing inappropriate in my view........a few bloggers here have set up blogs with settings set to receive and send messages to each other without making their messages public to all Adult Dating zone members. Something like a post box blog where a standard members and gold members can exchange private messages to each other. Both members must start a blog or have a blog and each must search each others' blog out when they want to make contact and communicate. A member friend posted the directions for me in simple steps and I used it to set up my blog because email messages sent to me were being blurred out. If someone post a comment or sends a message on your blog and you find the comment or message is not appropriate you can delete it before the public can view it. You have the discretion to make the comments posted public or keep them private.....like an email. hope this helped with your question.

You'd have to be a Top Fan or vice versa, i believe.

A standard member has to be a #1 fan in order to send a message. They just have to be a fan in order to read a message. A standard member has to be in the Top 10 fans to view a profile.

Hi LiveLifeDoU. I think whatever works, can work for you... if you have something to say to someone, you should say it, as long as it is appropriate and not offending... just go for it... the worst that can happen is that you get ignored or blocked... I've only blocked two on this site so far... 'Live and let live' is one of my mottos'... I'm just a simple man... easy going... thanks for the post!!! laters...
