What Is Your Real Sexual Orientation?

I notice on profiles that most men post their sexual orientation as “straight” yet many of them want to hook up with other men and trans* people. These days there are many more sexual identities than “straight”, “bi”, or “gay”. You may actually be bicurious or questioning (considering alternatives to being straight), hetero–flexible (straight but considering partners of “same” sex), homo–flexible (gay but considering partners of “opposite” sex), neutroissexual (attracted to non–gendered or non–binary individuals), pansexual (attracted to individuals with any gender identity), or skoliosexual (attracted to trans* people).

Below is a comprehensive list of sexual orientations. After reading this list, I invite you to share your sexual orientation in the comments below. And perhaps you will decide to add a “true” sexual orientation to your profile page. I personally identify as androphiliac, androromantic, chameleosexual, ecosexual, and sapiosexual.

Since I was fifteen, I have identified myself as bisexual. Now that I am older and given the experiences I have had over the years, I consider myself to be pansexual. I find myself attracted to people of all gender identities. For me, I am attracted to the person for who they are, regardless of how they identify themselves. Everyone is beautiful in my eyes. As for my hubby, he is a billion percent straight. Period.

To each his or her own!

Great research! Never heard of most of these. Interesting that the list includes romantic orientation as well as sexual; most conversation seems to focus only on the sexual.
