Our shares some background on herself So, I know I can totally dominate my Mom's blog early in the morning as she is a gym bunny and for as long as I can remember she was always up early and off to the gym every morning. 's interesting because I know that over the years my parents have made some great friends and long time friends at the gym. This leads me into my thoughts for today. I left my career on the east coast to move here to southern California and live in what is for the most part a retirement community. As I mentioned my husband is 66 and retired whereas I'm 36,many of his friends are retired and in his age group and I do not have any of my own friends or contacts here aside from a few friends from college days I haven't kept in close touch with. So, one of my goals is to get out and meet people and make some new friends. I golf badly but will start there, used to enjoy tennis so will take that up again, I'm not a gym person but am fit and I think I'll join a running club. I also plan to meet some of the neighbours. Not sure of the dynamic of most of them, are couples,single or widows and widowers. We live in a community of townhouses with an older demographic. I'm going to start today by wandering around the immediate neighbourhood and knocking on some doors and introducing myself. My husband only moved here a couple of years ago after his wife Wanda passed away and he has never really taken the time to meet the neighbours. I'm an optimist so knows or what I will run across. But I plan on making sure I do not become lonely here. My husband has a and a here in southern California, they are both married with , his is 39 and his is 41. They don't live close enough for Sunday dinner but they are close enough run down for a weekend visit. There are some bridges build there for me as they were not happy that his father remarried and did so with me, I've known his most of my life as years ago we had family vacations together. Many of my parents friends have been long long time friends and our families often did social and vacation things together as that is how strong the friendship bonds were. My husband's late wife Wanda was wonderful but we're different in that whereas she waited for the party to come to her I am more like my mother in that I will go find a party. This is new for my husband as I have suggested we start going out in the evenings to some local restaurants,cafes and bars with a view to meeting people as my parents do. I can rival my mother for looks from admirers perched on a bar stool in a short skirt and heels as well as she can. My husband is keen but expects me to<b> take the lead </font></b>on this . I told him I need a new wardrobe for that. I will say that my wardrobe pales in comparison to my mother's so I plan on doing a lot of shopping this week for lingerie, heels, dresses,skirts and tops LOL. My husband and I started attending his church regularly and we're meeting some people there. Actually, that is how he met his golfing buddies at a widower's support group. This church is an evangelical community and it has one of the largest congregations I've ever seen. My parents have made some really interesting friends over the years at church LOL. I think I could repeat that but really screams out for a new wardrobe as the women dress thrill. So, there are my immediate plans ward off loneliness and develop some new friendships in the community. Also, will say that I am more bi than my Mom,in fact have had moments where I thought of having a relationship with a woman as opposed a man. So, am heading out the door introduce myself my immediate neighbours on either side of us this morning, will be able tell by the looks on their faces if they saw me splayed out on the chaise lounge on the patio yesterday being taken by the retirement crew LOL. Actually, was a lot of fun having sex with those fellows yesterday. I only hope I can add as much fun this blog as my Mother does with her tales of debauchery ! LOL |
