Hiding my face

I used to be a member of Adult Dating zone about 7 years ago. I got married left the life – as it were and moved on. This is a post that I did back in 2008. The rules have changed somewhat in relation to the posts on the website and their usage by Adult Dating zone, but I still keep the privacy because of what happened at Ashley Madison.

This was called showing my crotch.

There was this comedian, Bobby Collins ‒ who hosted the MTV half hour comedy hour. He used to do this bit about his dog. The would always show his crotch whenever he saw someone, that’s how I look at this site. I find it funny that people suddenly given liberty would embrace it in such a way ‒ we hide our faces and show our crotches. Liberty -- the freedom to express ourselves without restriction. Certainly there are common courtesies, but this site allows for a freedom, because it is an adult site, that others restrict with good reason.

My ex-wife sent me an email that our daughters saw my profile on [popular internet dating website] and I wrote back “what were they doing surfing dating websites?” She then demurred, “Oh it was an accident and blah blah blah.” Which is the point. Anyone can surf most sites, I should think that most parents would know enough about the Internet to prevent their from joining or entering adult websites.

This further illustrates another point, the ability to show your crotch and hide your face. When I first joined Adult Dating zone I used a screen name, which was associated with some of my other sites on the Internet, and I used to post pictures of my smiling visage. I later found out that Adult Dating zone, (as part of their contract fine print) has the rights to use anything posted on site at other associated sites and in advertising. This is not an uncommon part of Internet fine print. How did I find out? I googled my screenname. First it showed my regularly associated websites, then it showed the Adult Dating zone created ones ‒ BLOCKS of text in group rooms on websites I had never even heard of. My stuff was easily traceable.

Since my parents won’t allow a computer in their house, I don’t have to worry about them finding out about my extracurricular activities, not that I am ashamed, but I have too many professional and personal interests that lack the open-mindedness of my mother. Many years ago when I was an adult and after I divorced my wife ‒ I moved back in with my parents ‒ a healing place. My mother is old fashioned she washes clothes twice a week and wouldn’t let me do my own laundry, so she finds rolling papers in my pocket and it was my birthday, so I was looking to go celebrate with friends. I find my papers sitting neatly on the dryer. She looks at me and says, “don’t let anybody roll your shit you don’t know what they might put in it.” So not too worried about my parents.

Of course the downside of taking my face pictures down is that it reduced the number of women that I was meeting. Do I have to say it? Sexy Boy Genius.

Further thoughts on showing your crotch and hiding your face. The anonymity of the Internet has allowed many people to express themselves in healthy and unhealthy ways. Some of us are proud of our genetics, showing off various body parts. One woman showed off her heart surgery scar, which I thought was the best use of this freedom, showing off something to be really proud of.

Some of you women scare me (and probably most men), cause in my book only GI Joe is twelve inches. Not that I do too bad this Sexy Boy Genius is anatomically correct.
