The Wolf Inside
The Wolf Inside Hi there, thanks for stopping by. I haven’t felt much inspiration to journal lately but today ended up being an unexpected snow day and I found myself feeling introspective. I guess I’ve felt an attachment to wolves from childhood on. I remember my mom giving me the book “Women Who Run With Wolves” as a young adult and it really resonated with me. A resilient, fierce spirit that I have relied on during hard times. Fierce as in determination. Although I have mellowed, I feel just a spark of my tamed fierceness still burning just enough to keep me moving through life’s failures and am grateful that mine is still burning. Is yours? “There is no one a wildish woman loves better than a mate who can be her equal.” ― Clarissa Pinkola Estés, Women Who Run With the Wolves: Myths and Stories of the Wild Woman Archetype |
