a day in the life of What the Fuck???

a decline in simple acknowledgment and polite behavior is among us...a simple hello or how are you, get nothing but a smile and a nod now. if that.
my old man used to cuff me up the back of the head when someone talked to me and I didn't respond and my mother would tell me I was just being rude.
it's a time now where we'd rather be online (yes, like I am now lol), rather than actually go out and meet people. the friendly mannerisms that used to be a polite society have declined to the use of our cell phones, ipad's and computers.
and my thoughts are that this is the decline of a social era of actually being polite to people......
i was out the other day, had to get a couple things, I said nothing more than "hi" with a smile, to a young lady at the store the other day....and she proceeded to say "what do you want"?!?!?! like i was trying to sell her bibles while she was lighting a cross on fire or something. LOL. and then buried her face back in her phone after 4 seconds of me just staring at her in utter shock and bewilderment...all i said was hi
i was always taught that i should just be polite. and i am totally baffled at the people today. do we have to wonder why there are so many<b> assholes </font></b>and dickheads out there...
