Messenger is terrible - hacks around the terrible system??

This is a post to discuss the<b> messenger </font></b>on here. The fact that messages aren't delivered or that current online profiles don't show anymore. Is everyone haveing the same issue? Also, the site randomly logs you off. If you pay for, say 200 points, if you get logged off and try and IM the same person, they charge another 10 points...you can end up using like 50 points to have a ridiculously frustrating conversation where the majority doesn't even get sent. Anyone have work around for this? Know of a better way to contact others?
