I don't know what it is, or why. It just seems like I can't get enough sleep. When I do wake up it's like my body is still sleeping. Pins and needles in my hands and joints. If I eat something , anything really, after a meal I just want to lay down for a nap afterwards. I'm thirsty all the time as well. Nothing I drink seems to quench the thirst. I could be just sitting on the couch watching TV. and notice that my hands or shoulder will go numb, and the pins and needles start anew. When I first noticed this I put it off as a sign of aging. My body slowing down. I don't know. Is it just that or something more? I've never been this age before, so I really don't know what to expect from it. I wonder if this might be some side affect from the medications I take for High blood pressure? Or, if it's the natural progression of things for me as I age? The only base line I have to compare how I'm feeling is my parents health when they were my age. The thing is I'm coming up on the age when they passed on. How do I judge then? I try to eat right, though I am fond of sweets. So, I am trying to cut back on them. My job gives me more than enough exercise daily, and I think I workout more now than I did in my twenties with all the work I do. Up and down stairs all day every day. Moving and lifting heavy things, walking about the grounds for an hour or more every day cleaning up the yards. Sexually, everything works. I wake up hard every morning , though I haven't been with a lover in what seems like too long. I still masturbate though not as much as I used to. After a while it just seems to get old, you know? I don't know? I suppose this is how thing are to be for me? Or is there something I can do/take to get me back to the way I felt before? Any who, I'm going to jump in the shower now....

Its probably best to get things ruled out with a visit too the doc. It def could be a reaction to meds, but only blood work n such will be able to determine. Good Luck with it all ~~

Thirsty & fatigued? Make sure it isn't diabetes first. Then make sure your blood pressure isn't off the rails. After that get a really good physical & make sure everything is ok with your heart & blood circulation. Might also be a good idea to make sure the pins & needles & the numbness you mentioned aren't due to arthritis. Sitting in one position for a long time can make limbs go numb too. That's maybe worth looking into.

Tell your doctor about your excessive thirst, numbness in your extremities, and fatigue. Ask them to do some bloodwork to rule out diabetes. Do it soon.

Talk to your doc. See a chiropractor if you can. Or even try an inversion table. You've already been schooled about the signs of diabetes.
