I disagree that chivalry is dead. I realize that tradtions are disappearting as the norm. There are those who are ignorant and or lazy. I will say personally I have found many who don't appreciate my efforts. Perhaps others who like have tried and were not appreciated have givne up. Let's not be such a sad sack, shall we? There are a number of us beings with penises who might be offended at your suggestion that chivalry is dead. Do we need to have another conversation about how some men are pigs, solely because they're afraid of rejection? Sport fucking is a way to prevent a woman from getting to know you and not liking who you are. Aside from those with a misogynous streak a mile wide, none of us think women are stupid, as a whole. Unless something comes through, my whole summer could become a staycation.

Your statement "Men don’t ask women out for dinner anymore?" is incorrect. The women I've asked out from here have all be offered a dinner meeting. Some go with that some opt for lunch. Same goes for the women I meet in person. The dinner question really has little to do with chivalry. Chivalry is a set of qualities a man may possess and the actions he takes based on them if he acts. When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro. The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

Chivalry is a casualty in the quest for equality between the sexes. Please don't let me be misunderstood.

I do not do the lunch date thing. It does not flow for me and it tends to end too quickly. I like to take the pressure off and get to know someone. It helps me avoid the nut jobs and the other weirdos.

I find more women prefer a first meeting to be a bit lighter and more casual than a dinner date. Coffee in the park, something like that. Not wanting to waste time and energy and money if there is no actual connection. I find it's respectful. And if it does work, then a nice date is fun. But I also agree that a lot of guys are just looking for a cheap and easy fuck. A quick lunch or afternoon get together and then back to their place. Such is the state of things. But there are plenty of guys who would love to be chivalrous. Though most of them are often overlooked. Lost in the midst of a thousand other guys preening like a peacock and screaming, look at me. LOL. You see light dappling on the water and forget the deep, cold dark beneath.

They might feel that lunch or coffee might be less pressure on a new meet! Just my thoughts!!! Dinner would be in order if a spark or interest was shown!
