Ok, (damn I use that word too much!) I will admit I have a little "note pad" on my phone...and when someone (usually a guy) says something funny, idiotic, or worthy...I jot it down for blog material.

Things don't always go as planned in life. I know this. I mean if things had gone as planned in my life I would still be married, rich...and happy.... Well two out of three ain't bad! I'm rich with friends and happy (trying).
This has been a troublesome last couple of days. Been keeping it to myself. I guess trying to cope. Adjust...think...whatever.
A very good friend's cancer has come back. And they have opted to not continue with the medication, or any other medical options. I know this person is going to be a parent soon. And this breaks my heart. But at the same time...I will stand by my friend because I love them very much.
This past Thursday night a family member called me as mini me and I were getting ready to eat a quick dinner before a meeting mini had. My family member wanted to let me know that some lumps had been found in her breast and one had been positive for breast cancer. She will be going into the hospital this coming Fri.
Today I took off work...my boss and I had already planned it. I had possible plans in motion....maybe a massage. But again life intersected. Mini me came home sick from school. I have decided that there is a conspiracy! There is...the only time people get sick is on weekends! They never get sick during the work week!

Long week...and it is just

Well my winter break ended Monday. I went back to the school yesterday...Yay!
I knew going in that it's gonna be a long week. My boss went to Phoenix...GO POKES!....for the Fiesta bowl, so she won't be at work til Friday. will be back on Wednesday (hey that's today!). And who knows what life will bring.
So went into work yesterday. Didn't start off all to well...because the van started overheating on the drive in...great. New faces have joined our ranks. So was busy getting stuff checked in from people who have left and checked out to the newbies. Still not ready though!
Headed home to mini me....and again the van is overheating....crap! SO get online...doing research. Start talking to a mechanic...he walks me through...could be this, check this...go to AutoZone...get this....etc. He kept me calm. So I went to AutoZone (called a buddy to make sure good place to go) and asked the guy about a hose. He asks all these questions...HELLO>>>>>>BLONDE!  So he looks at van. Nope don't need a hose...more than likely it's the thermostat. (Wow...that's what the mechanic said too!) So I ask how hard is it to fix? So we get the thermostat, coolant....and a socket/ratchet set. And I go outside and start to work...well he must have felt a little sympathy...cuz he came and helped. Ok, he did all the work cuz it wasn't all that easy as tying my shoe! Hard time getting to one of the bolts. Needless to say...the thermostat was toast!
All in all it was a good day. What started out as stressed ended up blessed. I smiled several times too! So another day of filled resolutions.....
Don't know why I can't sleep though! Fell asleep...woke up two hours later....fell asleep...woke up 3 hours later...and here I am! Oh, well gonna be a good day...
