I was telling someone in a comment here the other day that I sometimes feel a little like Snow White in my backyard. Now...we don't live in the country......but we do live in a neighborhood, at a dead end with nothing but a borough pit/pond behind us. We have all kinds of nature in our backyard.....and I like to sit out there with my feet dangling in the pool and just listen to all the sounds of nature.
We have turtles that bring their whole family up to sun on a fallen tree. We have a couple of muskrats...yep....Muskrat Sally and Sam! We have owls....bullfrogs....tree frogs....rabbits....birds of all kinds....and skinks. Skinks are a cross between a lizard and a snake. They are fascinating creatures who take a mate for life....and live under our gazebo. They run for their life when they see a human....but the're fun to watch.
So, you can see that in my own backyard in the city.....I have a little country! But, as Snow White.....I seem to be missing my dwarfs! And I'd like more than seven!!!!! lol
So, if you were one of my dwarfs....regardless of your height....what would your name be????

I know it is childish to dare you....but I'm going to do it today!
Today I looked for the first time at the Recent Visitors on the right side of my blog screen.....and I am amazed! There are 110 pages of visitors....from all over the world. I wasn't allowed to have sex tonight! But I am finally allowed to swim. So...I was chatting with some friends online tonight....and one of them, [blog Unlistedone] Unlistedone dared me to go jump in the pool. He not only dared me....but double and triple dared me!
Now it you know me at all.....you know I can't resist a dare! I don't know what it is......if someone thinks I CANT do something....I just want to prove them wrong!
So....it is 2:00 in the morning.....and I've been out skinny dipping in the pool! Is there anything you'd like to dare me to do????

I'm ready! I'm ready to go to the doctor and put my feet in those stirrups! I'm ready to get undressed for that exam......I've taken special care to be clean and shaven. I've dressed carefully......and I am hopeful that I will be given the ok to have SEX! And continue on with my life now!

Only 1 more day and a wake up until my doctor's appointment......and SEX....hopefully! I guess there is the possibility that he will say that I'll have to wait till the 8 week point...but I feel so good now that I doubt it.
Anyways...I was reading the blogs this morning and Mzhuny was talking about how many pairs of panties she had. Got me thinking about vices.
I'm not sure about the panties.....I only wear them because I have to....you know for decency sake....lol! And always clean because my mommy told me that you never know when you might be in an accident and have to be taken to the hospital....and you wouldn't want to be embarrassed by not having clean underwear on. My theory here is that if I'm in an accident that bad........my clean underwear would probably not be clean any longer! LMAO!
So...vices! I guess my vice would be Birkenstocks. I wear them everyday. My feet are as happy in my Birkenstocks as they are barefoot....maybe even happier. I have 30 pairs of Birkenstocks. Clogs...white for my nursing uniforms.....black, brown, navyblue for the winter months. But the ones I love the best are the sandals.....where my toes are free to wiggle. I have every color and style almost I think......at least the ones they make in my size....which is 35....the smallest adult size they make. And I have two pairs that get worn all the time.....the rest of them are the special pairs. Now...you don't ever throw Birkenstocks out as they can be resoled and recorked and they just live on and on.
So....what are your vices? Come on....own up here!

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY DADDY!

My daddy will always be my knight in shining armor. Even though this year he lost a kidney to cancer and is very frustrated with his now limited strength and ability....I will always see him as the strong person he was when he carried me on his shoulders as a little girl.
He was the one who taught me to ice skate, to swim, to ride my bike. He could take a car apart, fix it and put it all back together again. He gave me a hammer and let me help him build a garage with him. He worked two jobs so my mom could stay home with us ....but he always had energy to go swimming with us on the weekend. He made an ordinary day special. Such as, the first day it turned 60 degrees in Ohio was the day he would take us to get a root beer float at A&W. And he never forgot that year after year. He always had a box of candy for us on Valentines Day. And I'll never forget the first year after I was married and was living in Naples Italy with my husband. I was all alone on Valentine's Day....hubby was out to sea.....and I was homesick and missing my Dad. And there in my mailbox on the base was a box of Valentine's candy from my Dad! That meant more to me than he may ever know. It was the last year he sent one....because I did have a husband now....but it was the year that I needed it the most!
HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to all of you Daddy's out there. Remember that the gift of your time that you give to your is what they will remember. Not the expensive present that they think they can't live without today.....those they will forget. They will remember fishing with you....or swimming....or riding bikes together....or playing cards at night.....or eating popcorn on Sunday nights while watching a movie together!
And to my own husband....who is a great Daddy....Happy Father's Day honey! And it is only 2 more days and a wake up until we can have sex again!
