Mother/ Teams

I was on ski trip, out at a bar one night and danced with a older woman who informed me that she and her who was with her were a mother/ team, we finished the dance and didn't talk about it much because unfortunately I had leave....I know mistake! The mother was in her late 40's and the in her early 20's, both were beautiful. I'm curious how do people feel about that and are there any other mother/ teams out there.
